Bio

Hello and Welcome to US History. My name is Lori Sidenbender and I am happy to be your teacher. I was born and raised in Florida and spent the majority of my career there. After graduating high school, I attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. While there, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Science Education in 1995. I taught school for 19 years in Orlando, Fl. There, I taught middle school and high school social studies. The classes I taught included Gifted Studies, World History, Geography, US History and Advanced Placement US History. I moved to Georgia in 2014 and taught US History, AP US History, and Government at Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, Ga. I decided to go back to school and earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern in 2016. In 2017, my family moved to Rome where I taught US History and AP US History at Rome High School. I have been teaching US History and AP US History at Villa Rica High School since 2018. I am proud to be a Wildcat and look forward to a successful school year!
