La Société Honoraire de Français (SHF) is an honor organization whose members are invited based on academic merit.
Our chapter is affiliated with the
American Association of Teachers of French (AATF),
a professional learning organization
of which Mrs. Allen is a member.
Eligibility Requirements:
Completed at least French I and half of French II (3 consecutive semesters of French; 1.5 credits)
Maintained at least a 90 ("A") in all 3 semesters of French
Maintained at least an 80 or higher ("A/B") in all other courses that the student was also enrolled in concurrently at the time of French 1 & 2 enrollment
If a French student meets the eligibility requirements, he or she will receive a personal invitation by email upon the completion of the third semester of French.
Eligible students will be added to our Google Classroom by Mrs. Allen.
THE COST TO JOIN IS $10 CASH OR CHECK MADE PAYABLE TO VILLA RICA HIGH SCHOOL.
Students can pay on or before the annual induction ceremony, but no later than April of their Senior Year or the student will not be recognized at the VRHS Senior Academic Honor Night nor will he or she receive the cord.
THE FEE INCLUDES THE REFRESHMENTS AT THE INDUCTION CEREMONY, THE SHF CERTIFICATE YOU RECEIVE AT INDUCTION AND YOUR GRADUATION CORD WHICH WILL BE AWARDED IN THE SPRING OF THE STUDENT'S SENIOR YEAR AT HONOR NIGHT.
